Insured By NCUA

Banks have the FDIC; credit unions have the NCUA. The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) is the federal agency that charters and supervises federal credit unions and insures savings in federal and most state-chartered credit unions across the country through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), a federal fund backed by the full faith and credit of the United States government.

NCUA affiliation gives Oklahoma Central members the assurance that their savings are federally insured up to $250,000. But that’s not all. We offer additional peace of mind to our members with added private coverage of $250,000 through Excess Share Insurance (ESI). In total, your deposits are insured up to $500,000.
