Privacy Policy

The mission of Oklahoma Central Credit Union is to provide superior products and services to our members/owners. Along with this, we provide you with the peace of mind of knowing that steps have been taken to safeguard information we have about you and your account(s). Your financial privacy is one of our highest priorities.

Our Policy

Oklahoma Central will not gather, collect or maintain any information about our members that is not necessary in order to complete member transactions, to offer its products and services, or for other relevant business purposes.

Our Web Site

Visitors to our public web site remain anonymous unless they elect to provide us with personal information via e-mail, or submit an application/form for one of our services or products. This information is used internally, as appropriate, to handle the sender's request. It is not disseminated or sold to other organizations.

If you are browsing our web site, we may use standard software to collect non-identifying information about our visitors, such as:

  • Date and time our site was accessed;
  • IP address (a numeric address given to servers connected to the Internet);
  • Web browser used;
  • City, state, and country

We use this information to create summary statistics and to determine the level of interest in information available on our site. Some areas of our web site may use a "cookie" temporarily stored in the visitor's computer’s random access memory (RAM) to allow the web server to log the pages used within the site and to determine whether a visitor has been to our site before. The cookie is used only for administrative purposes and does not contain any sensitive information such as any password, account number, etc.

Any web site a member visits via a link from the Oklahoma Central site is solely the responsibility of the vendor, merchant, or other party providing the site. When a member leaves the Oklahoma Central web site or is linking to an alternate web site not operated by the credit union, Oklahoma Central is not responsible for the content of the alternate web site. Oklahoma Central does not represent either the third party or the member if the two enter into a transaction. Privacy and security policies may differ from those practiced by Oklahoma Central.

We do not knowingly solicit data from children, and we do not knowingly market to children. We recognize that protecting children's identities and privacy online is important and that the responsibility to do so rests with both the online industry and with parents.

Information We Collect About You

In the course of providing you with products and services, Oklahoma Central Credit Union acquires information from you in person, during telephone interviews, on applications and other forms you complete, and from outside sources, including consumer reporting agencies. We also maintain information about your transactions with us.

Information We Disclose About You

We share your personal and account information within the Oklahoma Central family of companies. Sharing information in this way allows us to provide you with complete financial solutions.

We may disclose some or all of the information we collect to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements.

We may also disclose information we collect about you under other circumstances as permitted or required by law. This disclosure typically includes information needed to process transactions on your behalf, to conduct the operations of our credit union, to follow your instructions as you authorize, or to protect the security of our financial records.

If you terminate your membership with Oklahoma Central Credit Union, we will not share information we have collected about you except as permitted or required by law.

How We Protect Your Information

We restrict access to all of your account and non-public personal information to those employees who have a specific business purpose in using your information. Our employees are trained in the importance of maintaining confidentially and member privacy. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulation and leading industry practices in order to safeguard your non-public personal information.

Online Services

Oklahoma Central Credit Union is confident that we have taken the necessary security steps to ensure that our online services are secure. However, it is also your responsibility to help protect the security of your account by safeguarding your password.

You are issued a password when you choose to use our Bank by Phone system (TESS). The first time you log on to Online Banking, use your Bank by Phone access code as your password. Once logged on, you should change your Online Banking password (your Bank by Phone access code will remain the same). Select a password that you can easily remember, but that no one else would likely guess. For example, do not select your address, telephone number or date of birth for your password. You can change your password as frequently as you wish by selecting User Options/Change Password in Online Banking. Never share your password with anyone — even a family member — if that person is not listed on your account. If you are the only one who knows your password, you have protected your accounts against unauthorized access. No representative of Oklahoma Central Credit Union will ever call and ask for your password(s).

Change your password on a regular basis. Change it immediately if you think it has been compromised, and contact the credit union immediately. Take care not to walk away from your computer in the middle of an Online Banking session; otherwise the next user of the computer can gain immediate access to your account. Always log off when you finish your session.
